The desperation. The fear. Everything was rising inside me. My heart was uncontrollable and at any moment, it would jump right out of me. All there was to see was the vast stretch of trees, the rough seas and the bolts of thunder appearing in the clouds. Nothing else, absolutely nothing. The only living crew member of the voyage was me, nobody else had survived the wreckage. I was stranded. Adding to all, I felt faintish from swimming for two days straight. There was vicious pain in my arms and legs, that made my joints feel unattached to my body.
Gathering all my strength, I managed to drag myself to a cool shade of a huge tree. As my mind could finally rest now, it floated to the first days of this catastrophic trip. There were ten of us, all very excited and nervous at the same time. Everything was fine till the eighth day when sudden and unpredicted winds started to hit us from the east. It took just two hours to see ten castaways struggling to save their lives, at that point every sailor was only for themselves. The pressure inside my head was intense but so was my determination to stay alive. After swimming for a massive forty-eight hours, I finally managed to find land.
When I managed to get up, all the problems started to dawn on me. Somehow food must be found and shelter too. Slowly and steadily stepping into this unseen forest, my first plan was to go back to the methods used by our ancestors and make some weapons to clear the path and to hunt. About an hour had gone by, I had two spears made from a sharpened rock fixed to a long stick, one bow with a few arrows and a very dangerous sword. My feeling of happiness could not be described. I felt as if I was ready for anything. It took more time to make some clothes out of leaves since wearing the same pair was not an option.

After all of these were done, I cleared a small patch of land next to a pond and started to build a hut there. This was the hardest part because my knowledge of building construction was next to nothing. It took me one whole day to build this small house which only had one room. My water was supplied by the nearby pond and plenty of food was available deeper in the jungle. I also kept track of time by making a mark on a tree trunk every day. Now that everything was set the only thing left to do was to wait till help arrived.
Time flew by really fast, each day I would discover something new that made life easier. Farming was taken in to consideration too. Nothing went out of planning until that unforgettable day!
In the morning, I went out in search of some fruits for breakfast. As I walked further into the jungle, sounds of men caught my ear. Shocked, I went in the direction of the noise. They were Cannibals! The man-eating men!
In an even faster speed, one of them sensed me. Then, the chase was on. I ran to my hut where I am writing this now. I do not have a clue what is in store for me.
