2019, a good energetic year began and Manoj got a job in a factory. Manoj was a 28 year old boy who was living independently in Mysore, Chinmay colony. His house was a mess, wine bottles, tons of cigarettes and idli packets would always be lying on the floor. The colony members were upset and disgusted with him. He had no feelings or joy in his life since his family died when he was 16. But he was obedient and passionate about his work, Charlie Chaplin was an obsession to him. One day As always he woke up and got ready to work. Once he opened the door he saw a puppy drenched in rain, he didn’t care about it, locked his house door and left to work. While going he threw one idli that he didn’t eat, to the dustbin outside his house. The puppy wiggled itself and ate the idli which was in the garbage. And rested in front of Manoj’s house door. The next day Manoj came back to his house and saw that the puppy was waiting for him in front of his door. But he didn’t care again and went inside his house. Morning he saw that the puppy was almost about to faint, so his mind couldn’t stop him from helping the puppy. He wiped, gave some medicines and let her sleep. From then he started to take care of the puppy and named her Charlie. They had a close bonding with each other and gradually Charlie was the angel who had stepped in Manoj’ s life and changed him to a better guy. He stopped smoking and drinking for Charlie because it was harmful to her and realised his mistake. After some days Charlie vomited suddenly and fainted . Manoj was tense and took it to the nearby vet hospital.
The doctor said she had cancer and her last days are coming soon. Manoj started to cry out loud with anxiety thinking that whoever he loved wouldn’t remain with him. Charlie woke up and jumped on Manoj and started to consolidate him, Then they both went to their house and after many days Manoj took a bottle of wine and gobbled it as fast as he could but Charlie came jumping to Manoj and threw the bottle away. After some hours Manoj switched on the TV, seeing the snow Charlie started jumping up and down, Manoj who saw that and thought if Charlie likes snow then why not take her there. So, Manoj started to pack his dress and took Charlie and left the house. They travelled and travelled until finally they reached Dharampur. Manoj booked a room for them tonight, early in the morning they left for Shimla by bus. Suddenly Charlie started vomiting blood, He stopped the bus, gave her medicine that the doctor gave him and wiped her mouth, they took another bus and continued there journey. He knew that she can live for another few hours and hurried the bus driver to reach the destination fast. Finally they reached Shimla, as soon as Charlie saw snow it jumped out of the window of the bus and started playing in it. Manoj also started playing with her. After a few hours of playing she exhaled her last breath and fell down. Manoj was upset and broke down crying he took Charlie and went back to Mysore. He buried in his garden and opened an animal rescue centre in her name. He treated all the animals who needed help and gave them shelter.
Conclusion: If you are lucky any day any time a dog like Charlie will come into your life.
