One day, my dad came and told me we are going on a vacation. I asked him, where we were going? He said we are going in short vacation to our homeland “Palestine/Nablus”. As soon as he said that I become very excited that I jumped from my place and run to start preparing for this vacation, I kept asking a lot of questions about the vacation, such as, when are we going? when are we coming back? how long will we stay? I started the preparation for this adventure or vacation, whatever u want to call it. I put a lot of clothes, some games and other accessories, then I started helping my dad to put his stuff, and also my mom. after we were done, we went to prepare the most important bag in my opinion, the bag where we put the gifts and the other cool stuff.
After we prepared everything, all what was left is to wait, wait for the time that we will leave from our house to the airport, I was so excited to a level which I couldn't wait, but still I had to… it was not a long time though only one night. And since I was so impatient, I decided to sleep. When I woke up it was time to go to the airport. When we arrived, we checked in our passports, and complete all process for departure, after that, we waited for our flight. While waiting, we enjoyed our time in the lounge by eating snacks and drinking coffee. When they called us for departure, we got on the plane and I started watching the plane while it was getting fuelled, and the pilots getting in to start the engine, also I saw the bags in the cargo car near the plane, I was worried about all our bags and hoped that it will reach safe, especially the one that has the gifts. When we arrived to our first destination “Amman” (because in Palestine there is no airport), we had to get a taxi from Amman airport to the bridge which connects Jordan and Palestine, where we have to got our passports checked, and then we get another taxi to Nablus. It is a long procedure but we have to go through and we used to.
When we reached, we had to go visit our relatives, basically we came for that. We went to visit my grandparents, we started with dad’s side first. When we got to their house, they had a big surprise for us, we found both my grandparents from my dad side and mom side were there waiting for us, we sat together and we gave them the gifts. After that my cousins came, and they bring with them a dinner from one of the traditional resultants which they know that we like it, we enjoyed eating, and sure after that we gave them their gifts, we played together and do all other stuff. I was so tired from the way, so I decided to go and sleep. When I woke up, my dad told me that we will go to the city centre, I told him, could we go after we take the breakfast? he agreed, so we went after breakfast. When we arrived to city centre, we visited many shops and have a very nice time, we have a lot of memories of this place, we used to go their every vacation, but because of the virus we stopped coming here, so I missed the place so much. Next day, my dad suggested going to a nearby city called “Ramallah”, we all know that Palestine is famous of olive,
lemon and orange trees, also herbal grasses like Zatar and Meramiyah. Ramallah is an ideal place to see all that, so we all agreed with dad suggestion and we went to Ramallah, weather was very nice and we spend a full day there, we had a lot of fun, and we bought many things from the market, we come back home late, we need to enjoy each minute from our vacation since it is short and we have to go back to “Jeddah”. It was a nice vacation, we had very nice time with family and we visited many nice places, we enjoyed a lot, we hope to stay more but we cannot, I have to come back to my school
