I was standing by the beach, watching the beautiful sunset. I didn’t want to look away. I kept staring at the beauty of the sun. The waves came splashing water on my face. Suddenly I felt something pulling my feet and I thought it as my imagination but then when I looked down, there was an octopus. I screamed as I lost my balance and the octopus began pulling me to the ocean. As I went into the ocean, everything blacked out. I felt like I was still screaming for help but I didn’t. When I opened my eyes, I could see just water. I was sinking but I inhaled and exhaled deeply. Then I realized that I was underwater and I thought to myself “How am I able to breathe?” Again, the octopus arrived and I swam to the other direction. I was so fast that I beat the octopus.
I swam so much until I finally arrived to the shore. I quickly crawled up to the sand. I thought it was the beach from where I came but I was shocked to see that I was stranded on an island. I told myself,” I think I should head back to the beach and defend myself from the octopus but I’m scared.” I took a deep breath again and went back into the ocean. I swam so much but I never arrived at my location. I thought that maybe it was time for a small break.

Night had fallen so I quickly swam and I bumped into something and I couldn’t see what it was, before I knew it I was unconscious. When I woke up, I found myself lying on the beach from where I was pulled into the ocean I still couldn’t see or hear well but I faintly heard people panicking around me. All of a sudden I inhaled and I was so relieved that someone actually dialed 911 immediately. But then 911 realized that something odd was hooked onto my feet. I screamed as they were trying to take it away because it hurt so bad. Finally it came out and what 911 found out was that it was an octopus tentacle. While they were talking to my parents, I noticed a shiny object hidden between the curled up tentacle and when I pulled it out to see, it was a message in a bottle! I quickly hid it because I was scared to show it to everyone. I ran back home at lightning speed.

Almost freaking out, I rushed to my room upstairs and placed the bottle on the desk. I couldn’t believe what I had found. I was covered in sand but I didn’t want to move until I found out what the message in the bottle said. I took a deep breath and pulled open the cap, with my trembling hands I reached into the bottle and took out the piece of paper. What the letter said shocked me for life, “I’m stranded in the ocean, please send help! Pilot from world war two Thomas Jefferson.” It was my grandfather!
