(Lukas reading from an ancient scroll “The Forbidden Golem”) “On a stormy night deep in the woods, spirits hovered above the trees, the wind held his head high and on the ground was slithering a golden snake (guardian of the Golem’), near an old cave. It was protecting the thing that had to be protected ‘The Golem’. The golden snake was assigned this task by ‘Lord Alpharius”, but on its way, a spirit came and took the Golem from the snake, leaving it lifeless. It is believed that whoever has that enigmatic Golem becomes the most powerful and controls the golden snake too. But if it falls in the wrong hands, there could be OMINOUS CONSEQUENCES…. that were never heard before”.

“Well, I don’t think it holds any truth” said Wayne, the younger brother of Lukas, the smarter of the two. “Wayne, I don’t know what made you say that but I believe that there is still a ‘Golden Snake’ out there somewhere in the deep woods and so is the Golem, and we are going to find it and return it to its rightful place!” said Lukas. “I am not very convinced brother but if you say so with this much conviction, then I am in for it. It will be a great adventure”, Wayne replied. The two brothers woke up at the crack of dawn, took a bath, packed their bags and were ready to set out on the expedition.

They had the ancient scroll, a map and a compass to keep track of where they were going but their journey was not an easy one, for it was filled with dangers everywhere. The first place marked on their map was the ‘Labyrinth of the lost’, the place from where no one could ever manage to find their way out. The brothers however managed to get through the twists and turns after various failed attempts and were finally out of it. “Hufff! Pufff!” said Lukas breathing hard, “that was one of the most confusing labyrinths we had out there huh!” “Well, at least we are out…. Woo hoo!” said Wayne. “But we can’t stop here right now Wayne, we still have a long journey to complete so we better gear up.” answered Lukas. “You are right brother, let’s go!” chirped Wayne excitedly even though his mind was clouded with fear. The journey continued…

(THUMP!!) (THUMP!!) “What was that!” asked a terrified Lukas, wondering if it was some wild creature from the woods. Just then he heard Wayne shouting, “Brother, take out your sword, it is the horrendous beast from the legend that we had read about earlier.” (RAAAAAAARRR!!!) The giant was coming closer making both the boys shiver in fear…. “STRIIIIKE!!” cried Wayne. (SLASH!) (SLISH!) Lukas started attacking the giant with his sword. (Boom!) (Pow!!) (Kablam!!!) (Hiyaaa!)… But every time he made the giant fall on the ground, the giant would get back up as if nothing happened… “Wayne, our attacks are not affecting the beast!”, shouted Lukas……… Realising that the situation was getting out of their hands and there was less time left, Wayne started

thinking of the way how to get rid of this giant. Suddenly, he remembered what ancient scroll said, “the invincible beast can only be put to deep slumber, if tickled behind the ear with the Orange Robin’s feather.” “Brother, we need the feather from the ‘Orange Robin’ to control the beast. Fight the beast till I bring the feather.” Wayne shouted back. Lukas continued fighting the beast with all his might…. (Pow!) (Kaboom!!!) (Swish!), (RAAAAAAAR!!) (AAUUGHHHHHH!!!!) HUMPHHH… After fighting for long, Lukas was exhausted and was starting to lose control of himself and fell on the ground. The beast, finding this opportunity, pounced upon him but Lukas rolled over to one side quickly …. Thinking when his brother would be back, Lukas closed his eyes tightly, waiting for his end, until he heard Wayne’s voice coming from far away woods. Wayne came running and straightaway jumped on the beast to tickle behind his ear. The beast was laughing and crying so hard that he started to roll on the ground until he was fast asleep. “Humph, took you long enough. I was scared that the beast would devour me any minute.” said Lukas. After conquering the two obstacles, the brothers went along with their expedition. It took them another 5 to 6 hours to reach the “Spirit’s bay” the land of spirits. The journey was long but they were at least one step closer to actually finding the Golem. Both were tired

and decided to take a break before setting forth on the journey. (WOOOH) (WOOOOH) (YOU ARE HERE, I SEE) “Did you hear that, Wayne?” asked Lukas. “It’s the spirits that are hovering above us which means we are in the land of spirits,” said Wayne. The atmosphere was eery. Getting up from there, they continued to walk till they come across a small hill made of stones that was shining brightly. Further ahead, they found out that the light was actually coming out of the Golem that was hidden inside it by the spirits. Now they just had to wait till morning when the spirits would disperse from there. At the crack of the dawn, both Lukas and Wayne reached at the hill of stones and started to remove them one by one to take out the Golem. On seeing the figure, Wayne shouted excitedly, “We got the Golem brother, we got it.” But the question in their minds was how to keep it safe from danger. Suddenly, an idea struck Wayne’s mind “I know, we can keep it safe from danger in our monastery.” Lukas agreed andhelped to take out and put the Golem in their bag. They werefinally happy that the Golem will not fall in the wrong hands now. Carrying the Golem, they started their journey back home. (Somewhere, the spirit of that golden snake was also relaxed and happy that the Golem was in safe hands now..!!
